Responsibilities Serving as a Inventory Management Specialist GS-2010-12 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Artesia Administration Division (AAD) under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) and located in Artesia, New Mexico. . The primary purpose of this position is. Responsible for maintaining an inventory management IT system (database) of non-expendable, accountable personal property and coordinates on all real property disposal. Serves as a technical expert on enterprise business operations related to the administration and management of the Inventory Management Program. Makes decisions/commitments related to technical, administrative, and program management issues related to inventory management administration Responsible for robust communications and coordination activity for both internal and external stakeholders. Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: executing inventory accuracy or reconciliation analysis techniques; Executing material requirements planning; Providing input, preparing and communicating status regarding supply availability; Researching and analyzing information to resolve questions and issues regarding inventory discrepancies, system deficiencies, transaction reports; Reviewing procedures in inventory management analysis to identify existing and potential problem areas. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Work Environment: The work is performed on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Lifts and carries supplies, materials and equipment. The work is performed in an office setting, although some travel may be required. Physical Demands: The work is sedentary in nature. Some work may require periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting of property items that may exceed 50lbs. The work includes various types of materials handling, including forklifts.
