In this role you will be responsible for providing data visualizations/models for highly complex as well as parallel and concurrent releases for a Software Product. You will be responsible for the wing-to-wing execution Business Intelligence design activities with high quality outcomes to internal and/or external customers. This includes gathering and documenting requirements, building functional and technical specifications, and overseeing activity delivery. You will work independently at the same time collaborate with all other roles within the teams to ensure project meets organizational standards and customer needs.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, conducts unit testing, and maintains complex Tableau dashboards for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.

  • Work as Tableau design expert / administrator

  • Provide the ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of workbook.

  • Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation.

  • Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 3-5 and Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision

  • Demonstrate awareness of industry trends and domain expertise

  • Demonstrate ability to influence customers and project managers through persuasion and influencing

  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems

  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts

Qualification/Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Tableau Desktop & Server administration.

  • Demonstrate expertise (6+ years) in developing and operating Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics

  • Strong (5+ Years) understanding of SQL, relational database management system, data modelling, and normalization.

  • Proven ability to query and show massive data sets while optimizing workbook performance

  • Experience (4+ Years) with Tableau server set up, tuning for performance and knowledge of server features like audit logging, Site configuration, user configurations, RLS, Data guide, etc

  • Experience (4+ Years) in any of the scripting languages, preferrably Java Script or Python.

  • Experience (5+ years) working within Agile/Scrum software development methodologies

  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst / Tableau Server Certified Associate certifications are preferred.

  • Experience is building Tableau customizations/extensions is added advantage.

  • Experience with AWS Cloud is added advantage.

  • Expertise (4+ Years) with Source Configuration Management (Git, Gitlab)
