The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to defining Equinor's best practices for secure software development and promote the importance of application security across the company.

  • Develop a range of initiatives related to application security, such as seminars, workshops or hackathons.

  • Acquire, maintain and operate application security tools within Equinor, such as dependency scanners and code analyzers.

  • Work with software developers to improve application security. This can include, for instance: facilitating sessions on threat modelling, helping integrating security tools in CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with developers in a team for a defined period.

  • Explore the latest technologies within Application Security and evaluate their impact on Equinor's digital landscape.

You

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science or related fields. Working experience may compensate for formal education.

  • Ideally 5+ years of working experience in software development, with 2+ years of working experience focused on application security, but we also encourage applicants with different range of experience to apply.

  • Familiarity with the “OWASP TOP 10” and other OWASP initiatives is preferred.

  • Experience with cloud services (preferably Azure) and knowledge of at least one between JavaScript, Python, Java or C#.

  • Ability to build new competence, influence people and deal with stakeholders, along with capacity to communicate reasoning and intent.

  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.
