The Sustaining Engineering Team is looking for an Electronic Component Engineer to join our team. This will be a unique opportunity to join a cross discipline team working with state of the art technologies in the energy development industry.
This hands on position involves all aspects of identification, optimization and qualification of electronic components for drilling and evaluation systems in harsh environment operations. The opportunity affords career growth and mentoring through a well-established training and development program. Work on component failure root cause analysis
Work on various cases of component obsolescence, also in the Baker Hughes obsolescence database
Work on strategies against component obsolescence
Identify component families for future use
Participate in technical reviews regarding components and circuitry details
Component search for obsolescence replacing
Discuss the obsolescence consequences within the Baker Hughes component community or other departments like Supply chain, Manufacturing etc., initiate relevant component status changes via ECO and assess ratings in the electrical components database.
Support functional groups in all respects concerning obsolescence
Initiate component qualifications incl. the appropriate test equipment
Conduct component qualifications and evaluate test results
Write test reports and other documentation
Above-average university degree (FH, University, TU).
Good knowledge in electronic circuitry and experience in electronic circuit design
Good electrical components and datasheet knowledge
Self-contained, self-motivated and structured to work within a worldwide functioning interdisciplinary team
Good written and verbal English skills, due to working in an international diverse working environment and strong interest in working with other cultures.
You must be legally authorized to work in Germany
Firmware knowledge in C , LabView programming, Altium Designer
Experience in SMT solder techniques
Highly interested in working in an international team
