Role Summary:

The Production Control Leader will be responsible to manage order fulfillment horizon and guarantee the baseline schedule, managing exceptions and issue in order to recover the original plan (baseline) and avoid loss.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Need to be aware about critical path and the main issues like missing parts, bottlenecks and so on, in order to involve any functions (manufacturing, sourcing, engineering, quality, project management) to recover the plan and to expedite possible roadblocks.

  • Will be the interface between Supply chain and Project Managers.

  • Need to check if everything is OK to start in the “planned start date” regarding the critical path items.

  • Need to lead production meetings with all cells in order to know the currently status about the next deliveries.

  • Need to measure the OTD for the main manufacturing activities.

  • Need to present during the weekly QMI the Manufacturing execution risk and opportunities, with the relevant financial impact.

  • Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional groups and across shifts to resolve bottlenecks, parts shortages, machine maintenance, and manpower issues.

  • Interface with quality, production cells, sourcing, engineering, and logistics on a continuous basis.

  • Analyze and measure the current production status and identify problem areas that inhibit full schedule realization.

  • Develop and monitor implementation of corrective action plans.

  • Facilitate regular cross-functional production meetings to ensure medium & short-term fulfillment to the master schedule is met.

  • Gather production metrics and periodically report these metrics to the materials manager


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution

  • Strong customer satisfaction attitude

  • Excellent problem solving skills, sound judgment, initiative and creativity

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and organizational skills
