Description

Compensation: $125-130k + bonus

Work Arrangement: Full-time, permanent/direct hire

Schedule: Primarily onsite, some hybrid flexibility

About Us:

Our client is a thriving smaller company in the manufacturing space, dedicated to providing high-quality products. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to lead their financial operations and contribute to their success.

Position Overview:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities of the company. This role requires a hands-on professional with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, strong financial analysis skills, and the ability to manage the day-to-day financial operations of a small or mid-sized company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management and Reporting: Prepare and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to the CEO/Owner to support strategic decision-making.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, implement, and monitor the annual budget and financial forecasts. Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations. Prepare cash flow forecasts and identify potential funding needs.

  • General Ledger and Operational Accounting: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting department. Leverage technology to streamline financial processes and reporting.

  • Strategic Planning: Partner with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support growth and profitability.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or CMA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years progressive Accounting experience

  • Full cycle accounting, own month end close

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting systems
