Humana Registered Occupational Therapist 2 - PPV in Corpus Christi, Texas

The Occupational Therapist 2 delivers services that are designed to enhance the physical and psychosocial functioning of the individual. All services are initiated and provided under the direction of a plan of treatment established by a physician.

The Occupational Therapist 2 conducts initial evaluation of patient to assess needs for service and to establish realistic goals. Administer treatment program prescribed by physician. Teach activities of daily living. Provides training in proper use of prosthetic devices and adaptive equipment. Instructs other members of the health care team in maintaining therapeutic, creative and self-care activities. Provides appropriate documentation of services in keeping with Agency policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allies Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association

  • Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in TX

  • Recent clinical experience in Occupational Therapy

  • Current CPR certification

  • Valid Driver's License, car insurance and access to an automobile

  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

  • Associates working in the State of Florida will need ACHA Level II Background clearance

  • Must be detailed oriented

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual

  • Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association

  • Home health experienced

  • Knowledge of Wellsky/Kinnser

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$76,800 - $105,800 per year
