Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$58,300.00 - $96,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers Construction Surety is looking for a Senior Account Manger to collaborate with underwriting and other key business partners in order to provide an elevated level of underwriting support to secure and retain the best business for our portfolio. As a Senior Account Manager your primary responsibilities will include booking / collecting premium, reviewing renewal business and working with our agency partners to better service their client’s needs. The ideal candidate would like a detailed driven, task-oriented environment where strong communication and customer service skills are utilized.

What Will You Do?

  • May include all or the majority but not limited to these components:

  • Works at the process level:

  • Completes audits, including documentation; QAP (O).

  • Training (O).

  • Often interacts with agency CSR; may participate in 1-2 local visits per year as a part of the TRV team.

  • Strong understanding of insurance principles and workflow.

  • Runs reports (from MI).

  • Project work and workflow review.

  • Point of contact in manager absence.

  • Acts as technical source for Underwriters and peers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Typically has 5 or more years of experience in the Insurance industry.

  • Understanding of insurance terms and contracts: Intermediate

  • Communication: Intermediate

  • Demonstrates effective verbal, written and listening communication skills.

  • Customer Focus: Intermediate

  • Provides service excellence to internal or external clients

  • MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn computer systems: Intermediate

  • Ability to train and guide others: Intermediate

  • Familiarity with reporting tools (MS Access/Excel/Other): Intermediate

What is a Must Have?

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Two years of work experience in insurance industry required.

  • Basic software skills required (Windows MS Office).
