DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will participate in activities related to collecting and testing pavement data. You will also be responsible for reporting the results to the pavement evaluation testing (PET) analysis section. Additionally, you will assist with maintaining the roadway management system (RMS). Your duties will include assisting technicians with testing and driving testing vehicles for the specialized activities of the statewide pavement evaluation and testing programs and location reference system (LRS) programs. This will be done in accordance with management objectives and within policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Alternate work schedule when on overnight travel status is 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Wednesday and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Thursday. This position requires overtime and travel as needed. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. One year of experience as a Technical Assistant; or One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
