*JOB OVERVIEW *Custodial positions are part-time positions.  A Custodial employees will be hired to work a maximum of 20 hours per week. The cleanliness of our church impacts all aspects of worship and each ministry.  It is also an intricate part of the church staff. Maintenance and upkeep are essential to our growing church. The Custodial Staff will report to the Pastor and Office Manager and if deemed appropriate, the Executive Ministry of the Church.  As a member of the office staff, the Custodial Staff will also interface regularly and cooperatively with other church staff members, ministries, members of the church and guests. 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Cleaning of Sanctuary: -         Weekly floors and carpets ae to be dust mopped, wet mopped at least once per week. -         Wax floors when needed   -         Vacuum all carpet in the balcony, pulpit, foyer at least once per week  -         Dust and clean True Light Central furniture, keep area neat          Vacuum all carpet in choir stand and main floor at least twice per week -- (Before Wednesday night bible study and Sunday morning worship service).  If there are any special programs that call for the use of sanctuary prior to these days, the same procedures should be conducted.  Any spotting as a result of spillage needs to be spot cleaned weekly. -         Waste containers and debris should be emptied and liners should be replaced as needed.  Debris left on the floor and pews should be removed and discarded promptly -         Pews and handrails and window seals need to be checked, dusted/cleaned weekly           Glass doors at front entrance must be cleaned at least once per week.  Before each special event, before funerals , weddings or special events doors are due to be cleaned -         Bathrooms floors should be swept and mopped as needed. Ther areasnear the base of toilets should be wiped down with a cleaning solvent/disinfectant at least 3 times per week depending on usage of bathrooms          All toilets, urinals are to be cleaned as needed using the proper odor, disinfecting cleansers.  Hanging disinfecting or solid disinfecting items should be placed in said area to keep bathrooms fresh          Stalls ad partitions should be dusted or wiped down with a detergent/disinfection solution -         Walls, counter tips and mirrors must be wiped down and checked for stains and streaks and cleaned accordingly. -         Toilet tissue and paper towels must be checked and maintained regularly -         Waste baskets and other waste dispensers are to be emptied daily and liners replaced as well as sprayed with a disinfectant -         Corridors and stairs must be vacuumed, swept, mopped daily if they have been used.  Stairs should be scrubbed at least twice a month with a special cleaning solvent -         Water fountains need to be wiped down and cleaned with a disinfectant solution and dry shined.  The sides of te metal housing are to be damp wiped to remove streaks and runs.  Wall are splashes will be wiped clean -         Ledge surfaces prone to dust accumulation will be dusted regularly        Wall surfaces around light switches, door knobs, ad heavy traffic areas are to be spot cleaned as needed -         Windows are to cleaned and dry shined on both sides.  Sine panls ae to be wiped down -         The custodial staff is responsible for sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor and removal of all garbage if not done by group using the facility.  *Note:  The Kitchen Ministry is responsible for cleaning the kitchen for all activities that take place involving church functions.  This includes washing of dishes, cleaning of fryers, stove top, oven countertops.  *-         *These duties ae to be performed immediately after each function. *

-            Refrigerator interior and exterior are to be wiped clean.  *Removal of food is the responsibility of the Kitchen Ministry. *-         The microwave inerior  surface hould be wiped and cleaned.  Exterior should be damp wiped and dry shined
