Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Pressure Systems Lead Engineer to join their team in SE Houston, TX. This person will be responsible for the design, testing, and operation of the propulsion pressure system. They will mentor engineers and provide technical leadership, plan, and schedule team goals to meet deadlines, and lead design reviews with internal and external employees. This person will guide trade studies, component selections, and supplier coordination. Lastly, they will develop design and configurations for propulsion systems, and use modeling and simulation tools to ensure compliance and evaluate system performance.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Physics

7-12+ years of pressure systems experience

Technical leadership experience

Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer experience

Familiar with analysis toolsets (ANSYS, Easy5, Fluent, GFSSP, TDK)

Propellant feed system design and integration experience

Propulsion component experience (valves, manifolds, pressure vessels, etc) Oxygen or Methane propulsion experience

SolidWorks experience

Experience with oxygen compatibility null
