HSI Corporation is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team of precision engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  2. Program CNC machines using CAM software or manual programming methods.
  3. Set up CNC machines by installing fixtures, tooling, and workpieces according to job requirements.
  4. Optimize machining processes to maximize efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  5. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
  6. Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
  7. Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine maintenance of CNC machines.
  9. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, models, and GD&T symbols.
  3. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code) and CAM software.
  4. Experience with setting up and operating CNC milling machines, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers.
  5. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
  6. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in machining operations.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot CNC machining issues.
  8. Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  9. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  10. Certification or formal training in CNC machining or a related field preferred.
