WestRock Company Print Flow Manager in Leicester, United Kingdom

The opportunity: The role will drive the efficient and effective set up, training & ongoing use of the consumer scheduling tool, Print Flow across the network of sites in the EMEA region. This role is critical to the successful delivery of the benefits and process improvements supporting One WestRock objectives. This role will work closely with the MachOne Foundation team, business process owners and plant production scheduling teams to ensure adherence to the standard model of schedule optimisation. In addition, the role will engage in continuous improvement of the software, set up, training and ongoing use.

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Develop group standards on how we will set up & utilise the Print Flow scheduling tool.

  • Drive change management activities required to ensure successful implementation across the EMEA network in parallel with MachOne Foundation.

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert. Train new schedulers on Print Flow & standard scheduling process.

  • Be committed to delivering the M1F standard template for scheduling and ensuring plants can successfully use it to operate the business with minimal disruption.

  • Develop methods to ensure plants are using the software package as intended. Utilize identified metrics to monitor adherence and verify benefits from baseline.

  • Facilitate change management with plant leadership to enable use of the scheduling optimisation features.

  • Drive continuous improvement of scheduling model, software use and software development improvements.

  • Partner closely with vendor and internal IT teams to continue to build software capabilities.

  • Guide team as change agents to ensure effective change management, meet business adoption targets and achieve results.

  • Provide plants with tools to monitor their schedule and maintain parameters to best reflect true projections and views of capacity and demand balance.

  • Provide feedback to manufacturing locations using analytical and statistical tools on their performance as it relates to the schedule.

  • Build strong relationships with divisional supply chain, plant & divisional leadership, and business resources in order to drive continuous improvement across the network.

  • Build upon foundational capabilities to identify other projects and initiatives that can drive additional value to the business.

  • Raise opportunities to leadership for alignment, charter the projects, and drive to value realisation.

  • Support development of processes and tools to effectively and efficiently transfer work between the network of Westrock sites.

What you need to succeed:

  • 5+ relevant years' experience working within the planning function in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry

  • Working knowledge of systems and processes of converting plants, preferably understanding the Radius environment and M1F model

  • Proven track record of leading or participating in projects which had a strategic impact on the business and required an effective change management process.

  • Effective communicator (both written and verbal), strong prioritisation with execution focus, able to direct teams to align and support parallel project deliverables

  • Passionate and demonstrates ability to drive continuous improvement innovation and develop talent

  • Enables and empowers, follows up to ensure high-quality execution

  • Must be able to travel as required
