Overall Description:

This is an entry level training position for the pilot plant to lead to being responsible for safely monitoring, performing, & controlling of development experiments and small scale production products on the pilot process units to ensure quality & quantity of finished product, field operations, including but not limited to the charging of raw materials, operation of pilot systems, & extraction & packaging of finished products. All work done with compliance to SHE guidelines, government regulations, cGMP, manufacturing packets & process procedures, and at the direction of controlling supervisors. Must be willing to adjust schedule if necessary to meet company needs. This position will be required to work night shift if the schedule requires it.

Key Duties: Maintain safe and healthy work environment Understand & follow established procedures to operate safely, in an environmentally sound manner, and according to cGMP including during emergencies, startup & shut down, & OSHA related issues Access electronic communication and procedures regularly (e.g. email, Intelex) Knowledge of personal protective equipment and its use Recognize hazards & take appropriate action Hold others accountable for safety and escalate issues as necessary Pilot vessel operation

Support Operations: Operate the vessels and equipment following manufacturing procedures Monitor temperature and pressure/charge and discharge raw materials/run boil outs including DeltaV monitoring from the production floor. Sample product by following sampling procedures (take sample to lab, get results, adjust batch as necessary) Record data on batch sheets with minimal guidance on all batch paperwork Package the product to meet customer demands Charge vessels accurately with assistance for hazardous materials Assist with loading and unloading bulk/packaged materials (raw materials and finished products) Drum product & repackage Pick raw materials from storage & charge materials Operate fork truck Operate pilot vessels as well as use fork truck to move materials, charging raw materials and package products Carry out pilot experiments in relation to new products. Evaluate new processes and discuss with supervisor about how to proceed with next experiment/stage of project To produce first samples of new products for dispatch and evaluation to R&D and sample room To collaborate on the investigations to maximize the right first time rate and process efficiencies. Encouraged to suggest most viable development routes in straight-forward projects. Line manager will make final decision about how to proceed
