Our North American Commercial Operations, as well as our Headquarters and Technology Center for Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics, are based in Bedford, MA. Our Headquarters and Technology Center for Autoimmunity Diagnostics is based in San Diego, CA. Additionally, our Technology Center for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents is in Orangeburg, NY, and our Technology Center for Whole Blood Hemostasis is in San Diego, CA.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the processing of all materials including receiving, shipping, inventory control, label room, transacting raw materials to I returns from work orders, control and safe handling of formulation chemicals I biologicals, controlling labeling materials, transacting finished goods, processing and delivering expense materials, etc.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions:

  • Physically handles all aspects of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Receive and transacts raw and intermediate materials into inventory.
  • Physically issue and transact raw material and intermediates to work orders.
  • Physically return and transact un-used raw material and intermediates from work orders.
  • Demonstrate GMP in all paperwork.
  • Print and issue labels required by Finishing Department; ensure printers are in proper condition.
  • Reconcile returned label quantities.
  • Assist with investigation of label and IFU discrepancies on production line per FDA regulations.
  • Review line clearance forms for compliance to GMP.
  • Supports incoming inspections group as needed.
  • Staging and organization of finished goods.
  • Prepare outbound shipments and bills of lading.
  • Safe handling and storage of chemical and biological inventory.
  • Detect paperwork errors prior to data entry transaction.
  • Monitors temperature sensitive materials and ensures they are properly stored.
  • Maintains good housekeeping I 55 in warehouse.
  • Performs cycle counts; Assists in inventory reconciliations.
  • Move between functional areas on demand per the needs of the Materials dept.
  • Demonstrates competency in all functional areas of responsibility.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor or dept. manager

Skills & Capabilities:

  • PC skills (MS Excel, Inventory Systems, MRP Systems)
  • SAP Experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accuracy of transactions.
  • Excellent Communication and Quantitative math skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task faced paced production environment.
  • Be a "hands on" learner and to rotate between a variety of duties.
Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a computerized warehouse environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to lift and move materials per current OSHA standards.
  • This position requires the ability to operate forklifts, order pickers, motorized pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks (PIT)
  • Work up to heights of 30' picking materials off warehouse racks using safety harness

The hourly wage range Werfen reasonably expects to pay for the position is $20 to $25. Compensation is reasonably based upon multiple factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and specific needs of the business.
