THE POSITION

Do you have managerial experience in food production? The Department of Human Services (DHS), Warren State Hospital, is seeking a Director of Dietetic Services to be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and managing operations for the Dietary Department. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will oversee the daily functions of the Dietary Department. You will supervise food service staff and managers; plan meals and modified menus; direct the ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of food items, supplies and equipment; hire, train, and evaluate food service staff; and develop as well as maintain policies and procedures for the Dietary Department in compliance with the standards of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Department of Health, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Travel and overtime as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in the supervision of food preparation activities in an institutional food service or institutional food production operation, and a bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, dietetics, food service, culinary arts, or a related field; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which included three years of experience in the supervision of food preparation activities in an institutional food service or institutional food production operation.
