Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles.DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students.

Responsibilities

A Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed healthcare professional who works under the supervision of a physician. PAs are trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services, often in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Physician Assistants work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, physician offices, and specialty practices. They play a vital role in expanding access to healthcare services, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing the efficiency of healthcare delivery.

  • Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to Trauma and General Surgery patients under supervision and responsibility of a Physician.

  • Participates in education development and growth of St. Josephs Trauma and General Surgery Service.

  • This position works directly with our Plastics and Hand team that currently consists of 2 Physicians and 2 APP's.

  • This position will require time spent in the Operating room as well as the clinic setting.

Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000.

Qualifications

Minimum:

Minimum 3 years clinical experience in related area.

Certification as Physician Assistant from Arizona Joint Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificaqtion - Nat'l

Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification - Nat'l

NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.

Valid DEA registration

Pay Range

$54.12 - $90.92/hour
