Microsoft Corporation Principal Product Manager in Redmond, Washington

The Azure Resource Manager (ARM) team builds Azure's centralized management plane and deliver at-scale governance services such as Azure Policy, Azure Resource Graph (ARG), and Management Groups (MG) to provide customers with unparalleled visibility, control, and organization to customers' environment.

As a Principal Product Manager, the candidate will help shape the centralized control and access management system for ARM and its governance services, including Azure Resource Graph (ARG) and Management Groups (MG). This opportunity will allow the candidate to drive critical initiatives where the impact will be felt across the entire Azure ecosystem, to innovate on cutting-edge, at-scale architecture, and to collaborate with industry experts and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • You will translate customer and business needs in control and access management domain into actionable initiatives and product features to deliver success.

  • You will contribute to building scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions working alongside world-class engineers and industry experts.

  • You will influence others to drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas across divisions. You’ll also be an expert in identifying long-term investment opportunities and engaging partners to garner support for those feature areas.

  • You will define a feature set and facilitate senior-level usability reviews with customers. You’ll own the roadmap for multiple feature areas across divisions, and will collaborate with a partner team to build golden configurations and drive scenario walkthroughs.

  • You will scale Product Marketing teams by building marketing and roll-out plans, as well as leading the creation of customer support plans. You’ll also take advantage of major opportunities to promote the feature areas you worked on and present at large events.

  • As an expert, you will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs in order to improve product development in multiple areas. You’ll also identify features to deprecate, manage customer communities, and build trust with targeted customers across sectors.

Qualifications

Required Qualifcations:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year of experience working in access management, policy management, or similar industry.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifcations:

  • 1+ year of experience working on large cloud-scale platform service.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
