Role Summary/Purpose

The Senior Product Manager, Radiation Monitoring will be responsible for managing the complete product life cycle from product development and product modification to product placement. Essential Responsibilities This role will focus on expanding the $15 million Reuter-Stokes Radiation Monitoring product line across the Neutron Scattering, Environmental, Homeland Security and Safeguards markets through ownership of the product MGPP, global business strategy, product campaigns as well as tactically offering technical and commercial support to customers, channel partners and the Baker Hughes, a GE Company (BHGE) commercial organization. The Senior Product Manager works cross functionally developing practical and innovative ways to meet goals while fostering growth, innovation and customer centricity. This role is responsible for work that is less defined in scope. We are looking for someone that has the understanding and experience to own, define and drive for Reuter-Stokes’ Radiation Monitoring products.

In the role of Product Manager - Radiation Monitoring, you will:

  • Own the global Reuter-Stokes’ Radiation Monitoring product strategy supporting the annual business strategic growth plan in conjunction with region P&L leaders, other product managers, fulfilment organizations, marketing & engineering; aligning product features, price positioning & value proposition messaging with market conditions to achieve product line growth & profitability objectives

  • Own customer targeting and offering positioning strategies by analyzing market data trends including: customer segments, market dynamics, competitive intelligence and customer preferences by spending time in the field with regional sales teams and customers as well as trends and developments with regards to pricing, product portfolio and technologies

  • Develop product specific sales strategies to support the global sales teams and to drive growth

  • Partner with marketing & sales teams to develop internal / external messaging around commercialization of new product introduction & product applications

  • Support sales teams with product and technical training in cooperation with product specialists

  • Own product forecasting, product pricing, product contribution margin, product datasheets, product campaigns, product commercialization and product sales training

  • Own, devise & manage the Reuter-Stokes’ Radiation Monitoring products multi-generation product plan (MGPP) and products from concept to fully obsolete; design, manufacture & service

  • Have close cooperation with marketing, engineering, supply chain and sales to define the strategy and to improve results for the product line

  • Own key product metrics such as new product introduction (NPI) deliverables, product sales and product cost out

  • Be responsible for the technical & commercial interface and support between customers and the product line functions

  • Drive innovative solutions by assessing opportunities for strategic partnerships with other businesses, customers or channel partners for inorganic growth

  • Generate ideas for and assist in the execution of simplification and cost-out initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering and/or science based discipline from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and/or Sales

Eligibility requirements:

  • Technical experience in instrumentation

  • 2 years of experience with radiation measurement applications

  • An understanding and willingness to learn customer applications for the Reuter-Stokes’ Radiation Monitoring products for Neutron Scattering, Environmental, Homeland Security and Safeguards markets.

  • Able to handle queries regarding all aspects of product technical & commercial support

  • Work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer & business requests

  • Good communication skills and able to present to a group

  • Ability to produce a technical document and perform a technical presentation

  • Strong technical and commercial background with demonstrated program management skills

  • Commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Self-starter, capable of working independently to prioritize work and meet deadlines

  • Ability to communicate professionally across all levels

  • Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
