Caterpillar is seeking a Quality Production Manager in Victoria, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of process, plans and tools to support the Caterpillar Quality Management System.

What you can look forward to in this role:

• Provide leadership and expertise in setting and promoting quality plans & processes

• Create programs for CMM and laser inspection equipment

• Process focused actions to drive understanding

• Monitor performance metrics for internal and external customers to drive continuous improvement across the product line.

• Activities focused on reducing defects through activities such as Built in Quality and root cause corrective actions through collaboration with process partners.

• Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate

• Deep understanding of Lean & 6 Sigma principles

• Evaluates, assess, identifies and leads the deployment of workforce training

• Practices and teaches Caterpillar Production System Guiding Principles

• Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with Team Leads and Team Members

• Leads the creation, implementation, and training of standard work procedures.

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

• Quality Management : Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

• Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

• Planning and Organizing : Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

• Process Improvement : Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

• Experience with programming PC Dmis

• Knowledge operating Romer arm, Leica Laser

• ASQ certifications – CQM, CQE, etc.

• Six Sigma Blackbelt certification

• Experience with AIAG processes

• Certification for Laser measuring/ CMM equipment

• Knowledge of CQMS requirements for Torque Tool/Metrology/IQA

The primary location for this position is Victoria, TX.
