Google Kernel Engineer, Embedded Systems, Pixel Core Platform in Warsaw, Poland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Candidates will typically have 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

  • Typically 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

  • Typically 2 years of experience with C, Kernel Drivers, and Linux.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Typically 2 years of experience working with embedded Linux operating systems.

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

  • Experience with Board bring-up, Android BSP, embedded systems and Rust.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

  • Own and deliver kernel drivers and features.

  • Collaborate with Android common kernel and upstream Linux.

  • Participate in bring up of new Pixel devices from SoC development boards to prototyping to mass production.

  • Design and implement debug and analytics solutions along with debugging difficult issues involving software, hardware, and SoC.

  • Design and implement software solutions for new SoC features in areas such as interconnect, boot, reset, memory, high speed IO, low speed IO, interrupt controller, and security.
