QUOTING SUPERVISOR

Seeking a highly motivated Quoting Supervisor, to assist in the team management and act as a liaison between cross-functional teams. You will help ensure that high-value complex deals in the sales funnel sail through and get signed. This position is responsible for gathering important stakeholders and information to prevent delays with pricing negotiations, creating pricing related documents, and quote creation.

Reporting to the Director of Customer Service, this position will serve as a key member of the motor quoting team. This is a hands-on role responsible for facilitating a variety of quoting activities that are important to Marathon-s ability to minimize price erosion while still meeting the customer-s needs. This role will be mentored by experienced sales, product and customer service team leads and will work closely with engineering to ensure success. Successful candidate has the desire to develop their motor and business knowledge while contributing meaningful activities to Marathon-s quoting team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Define expectations and standards for team performance and manage accordingly.

  • Develop and implement tools and processes that instills a performance culture and helps with turn around times.

  • Monitor, measure an train staff to a training plan; define and create development plans for each team member.

  • Collaborate with sales, product management, customer service, and engineering to ensure key SLA-s are met.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects for customers across the globe while working with subject matter experts.

  • Recommends changes to quoting processes and tools to enhance key metrics and putting the customer at the center of everything we do.

  • Creating a quote using price list, modifiers, qualifiers, pricing attributes using our quote systems in quoting system.

  • Working with the Product Managers and Sales Directors to develop sales growth and margin improvement strategies using market trends and available consumer or industry analytics- and metrics

  • Assists in all report generation to support sales, marketing and logistics

  • Analyze customer specifications to ensure product quote meets all customers- requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of previous customer service, pricing, sales operations or financial analysis.

  • 2 years or more in a leadership position preferred.

  • High school diploma

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite tools
